“China Shipping Container Lines Co., Ltd currently operates over 80 major routes and feeder services both domestically and internationally. Its service network covers Chinese costal areas and major trade regions in Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Persian Gulf.”
Part of my day job involves exporting to China in shipping containers. Danish shipping line Maersk recently had a temporary closure on it’s backhaul route to Asia, and when it re-opened it annouced it would introduce super-slow steaming to reduce fuel costs, resulting in a journey time slower than the tea clippers of the eighteenth century.
Sounds like a prime Target for pirates.
