I’m in /v/, widely regarded as possibly the worst board on 4chan. The difference? I’m in the thread for Cyberpunk 2077. There’s barely any shitposting, tons of great music, and genuine interest in the subculture and an awareness that this is our world now. It’s fucking awesome. If cyberpunk can (nearly) unite /v/, it can unite anyone.

MELT - Worm

This track is rumored to be leaked from the soundtrack for Cyberpunk 2077, and plays when you enter a seedy club where underground cage matches are held, secretly used as a super-soldier testing ground by megacorporations.

I’d never heard of MELT before, but with production by Sebastian Komor and mixing by Rhys Fulber, I’m definitely going to have to keep an eye on them.

I want to make an unauthorized short film of Johnny Mnemonic, starting with diagrams of a reloading press rolling down the grimy screen of an old microfilm reader, then pale hands turning shells from brass stock on a lathe under dingy green fluorescent lighting as this song plays through the opening credits. At 3:38, a very technical boy steps off the tube two stops late. Immaculate procedure.
