Members of the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, the largest branch of the J.S.D.F, pictured with M24 sniper rifles. These are modified Remington 700 rifles that are also in use with the U.S Army. The U.S Marines use a slightly different model, designated the M40.
Interestingly, the made-in-Japan Howa 1500 is very similar to the Remington 700, and is popular as a budget rifle to “sniperize” in the US.
Israeli Smart Scope. Calculates elevation with a laser rangefinder and adjusts reticle accordingly.
